Proper care for your hair If your locks are lifeless, chances are that you are using a product that is not suitable for your hair type and/or its condition.

Not only do environmental factors have an effect on your hair, over-styling, coloring, and perming cause damage that does not go away until it grows out. Fine and limp hair holds on to residue making hair more lifeless, and curly hair simply needs to be put in check. You can research your hair type, or you can heed this advice, simply put:

Overly damaged hair: find products that have "protecting and replenishing" ingredients.

Fine or limp hair: find volumizing products and light conditioners.

Dry, brittle or curly hair: find controlling products with added shine and moisture.
